A lower recharge price does not always mean a lower daily cost. And even when daily costs match, the amount spent during your chosen period can differ because you buy complete packs.
How to compare recharge plans
- Choose the number of days you want to compare.
- Enter each plan’s recharge price in rupees and validity in days.
- Add a third plan if needed, then select Compare plans.
- Compare daily cost and total pack cost together with the validity left.
Use current prices from your operator’s official app or website. For a useful comparison, choose plans with similar data, calling and SMS benefits.
What the results mean

Read total pack cost alongside validity left. A plan may require more spending during the selected period while providing more days beyond it.
Example: ₹280 for 28 days vs ₹840 for 84 days
Both plans cost ₹10 per day. However, covering a 90-day period requires different numbers of complete packs.
These are illustrative prices, not current offers from any mobile operator.

Plan A requires ₹560 less spending to cover this period. Plan B leaves 56 more days of validity. Neither has a lower daily cost.
This is why a difference in total pack cost should not automatically be described as savings.
How the calculator works
The calculator uses the price and validity you enter:
- Daily cost = recharge price ÷ validity days
- Packs needed = comparison days ÷ validity days, rounded up to a whole number
- Total pack cost = packs needed × recharge price
- Validity left = packs needed × validity days − comparison days
- Equivalent usage cost = recharge price × comparison days ÷ validity days
For example, 90 ÷ 28 is approximately 3.21, so you need four complete 28-day packs. They provide 112 days of validity, leaving 22 days beyond the comparison period.
Assumptions and limits
The comparison starts with no existing validity remaining. It assumes each new pack starts immediately after the previous one ends and that prices remain unchanged.
Total pack cost represents purchases made across the period; it does not mean buying every pack upfront.
The calculator compares price and validity only. It does not check network coverage, data allowances, calling benefits, cashback, additional charges or operator-specific activation rules. Use it for plans that provide their own service validity, rather than add-ons that depend on another active plan.
The selected periods are fixed numbers of days. A 30-day comparison is not a calendar-month calculation.
Frequently asked questions
Is an 84-day recharge cheaper than a 28-day recharge?
Not necessarily. Divide each plan’s price by its validity to compare daily costs. Then check the complete-pack spending for your chosen period and whether the included benefits suit your needs.
Why is total pack cost higher than equivalent usage cost?
You may need to buy another complete pack even when only a few days remain in your comparison period. Equivalent usage cost counts exactly the selected days; total pack cost includes the whole final pack.
How many 28-day packs cover 365 days?
Starting with no remaining validity, you need 14 packs. Thirteen packs cover 364 days, so another pack is needed to cover day 365. Fourteen packs provide 392 days, leaving 27 days beyond the period.
Can I compare plans from different operators?
Yes. Enter each plan’s price and validity manually. The calculator compares those numbers; it does not retrieve live offers or judge which network works best in your location.
